Offline is built so that your challenge stays on your phone. This page explains what that means, for the app and for this site.

In short

Who we are

Offline, the app and tryoffline.app, is run by Jakub Radziejewski. We are responsible for your data as described here. Write to us at support@seylo.co.

What stays on your phone

Everything you tell Offline is saved only on your iPhone, in the app’s own storage:

Your widgets read it from the same place on your phone. If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, this data can be part of that backup, under Apple’s terms. Deleting Offline deletes it, and we can’t bring it back.

Screen Time

Offline uses Apple’s Screen Time to put your feed apps to sleep. When you pick your feed apps, Apple gives Offline only anonymous tokens: we can’t see the apps’ names or how you use them. Counting your minutes and showing the feed screen happen inside iOS, on your phone. You can take Offline’s Screen Time access away at any time in Settings › Screen Time, and the scheme stops.

Notifications

Your reminders are scheduled on your phone. We don’t send push notifications from a server.

Sharing your card

When you share your card, Offline makes the picture on your phone and hands it to the iOS share sheet. It goes only where you send it.

Your membership

Apple takes the payment. We never see your card details or your Apple Account.

To check that your membership is active and to restore it on a new phone, we use RevenueCat, a subscription service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous ID the app makes, your purchases and renewals from the App Store, and technical details such as your device model, iOS and app version, App Store country and IP address. We use this only to run your membership and to see, in total, how memberships do, for example how many renew. Read RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

Crash reports

If you chose to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple sends us crash reports and usage statistics that don’t identify you. You can change this in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.

This site

tryoffline.app has no forms and no accounts, and it doesn’t ask for anything. It sets no tracking cookies, and its fonts come from our own domain.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which handles your IP address to deliver the page and to protect it from abuse. Read Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Why we may use it

For people in the EU, the UK and similar places, the law asks us to name a reason for each use:

How long we keep it

Where it is handled

Cloudflare and RevenueCat may handle data in the United States. Where data leaves the EU or the UK, it is protected by the safeguards the law requires, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to limit how we use it, to receive it in a portable form, or object to how we use it. Write to support@seylo.co. What stays on your phone is never with us, so you control it yourself: deleting the app deletes it.

You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live or where we are based.

We don’t sell your personal information or share it for advertising.

Children

Offline is not meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you think we hold a child’s data, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date. If the change matters, we will also tell you in the app.
